Skilfully blending original works and arrangements by Italian, Spanish, English, American and Japanese composers, Gertrud Weyhofen and Thorsten Drücker have selected pages that will enable the audience to appreciate the diverse sound possibilities of their instruments and their union.

In the early Cubist works of Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso, the guitar and mandolin occupy a central place, symbolizing both the break with traditional perspective and the exploration of the decomposition of forms. These instruments, often represented in fragments and from different angles, embody the desire to grasp the object in its multiplicity, while introducing the notion of simultaneity. They become privileged objects for experimenting with the reduction of volumes and surfaces, while anchoring cubism in a tactile and sonic dimension.
